About
In Hebrew, Malachi means “messenger,” and he wears that name like a calling.
Chris Malachi is a Jamaican recording artiste here to make an impact. His work explores the full human experience through a faith-based perspective. Rooted in reggae and dancehall, his sound is diverse and brings a distinct flavour to the industry.
He launched his recording career in 2019 with “All I’ve Got” followed by The Messenger, a full project produced by Grammy-nominated producer J.L.L., and has continued building through consistent projects. Standout records include “Graveyard Shift”, “Disasta”, “Tek On Street”, and “Army of Light”, alongside Work & Play, a freestyle mixtape developed with Grammy-nominated producer BoomDraw and brought to life through a live show that introduced him to a wider audience.
One record, however, became a defining moment: “Brighter Days” recorded the night before Hurricane Melissa made landfall in Jamaica. In the aftermath, it became a message people leaned on for hope, spreading beyond social media into churches, schools, radio, and everyday spaces as encouragement during a difficult time.
On stage, he’s earned a reputation as a captivating live act, from his ‘UNPLGD’ opening for Mortimer to regular performances at Tuesday Service in Kingston, and continued shows with his band, The New City Dreamers. A standout stamp was his performance on BBC 1Xtra in 2024, placing him on an international platform. Together, his growing stage and online presence have contributed to a steadily expanding audience, alongside growing recognition among his peers in the music community.
Rooted in honesty and guided by faith, Chris Malachi continues to grow as an artiste whose music carries a message and leaves an impact that travels across generations.
